...yes, I've sobered up...

...but I'm on my way again!  We didn't have internet after our first day of traveling, but we do now...and I want to clear something up amigos.  THE KING was funnin' ya...hard to believe, but yes I was!  There was a funny response to my King takes a dip (or was it "is a dip"?)...even my highschool buddy Nan thought it was really me...but Nan shovels giraffe shit in California, what does she know?  Then my former workmate Sue had the same reaction...have you people never met me?  In case ya haven't noticed, I'M FAT!  Does that guy look fat to you?  Ya, like fat at an anorexia camp maybe!  OK, let me make this easy for you...first, have you heard of PhotoShop.............good!  Here's one of the shots...
                                                                    ...then this...
...and then THIS...come on you guys...did you REALLY think that was ME?
Some pervert (Bob MacPherson) sent me that!  LOOSE THE DOGS ON HIM!  Anyway, IT'S NOT ME!  THE KING is very disappointed.

On to our travels...Mr. Hung (pronounced Hoooong) picked us up promptly, and off we went to a "Crazyhouse" temple!
...all the tile is broken china...they have cases of unbroken stuff awaiting breaking!  Just to the left of that pic were carvers carving a big Buddha...
...it's from basically one piece of wood...with some stuff glued in.  Here is the entrance of the temple...
...I love the neon behind the Buddha!  We walked up to the second floor, and this is what we saw...
...ya see that tower, on the second floor was this woman sewing!

...right next to the tower, they were building something new, with these statues...
...after the "Crazyhouse Temple", we were off into the central highlands of Viet...F'n...Nam!
...jungle, rice paddies, water buffalo...and many miles of really BAD road!  Mr. Hung stopped, and said "look...huge bamboo forrest"...he was right!
Trust me...it's bamboo!  Around the corner...far off, was this temple...
...it was lunch time, so we stopped at a local placed frequented by buses, and there was the sleeping beauty...
...off to one of the "minority" or "montagnards" villages...in Canada we call them "natives"...and they seem to have comparable status.   Our guide bribes the kids with candy...
...they live by themselves, only marry among themselves, and seem to remain uneducated by choice.  Off to a flower farm...
...then a floating village just before sunset...
...and finally, sunset...
So, on the second day of our adventure, we woke up in 3ksahqpih2q;knqahvbfwipu...hell, I'd have about as much success trying to pronounce the name of the town as what I wrote!  However, this is what I saw out my door when I opened it!
Normally, I would have retouched out the telephone lines...but you guys think all this stuff is real, so I'm screwed!  Anyway, on our way to another "minority" village, we saw this...
The minority village was almost prehistoric...well, not really...lots of satellite dishes on longhouses...but no wifi!
...a cute little cat...
...and a very suspicious neighbour...
...then we were off to see some waterfalls...really nice waterfalls!...
...in the jungle...
...and then a brick factory...not really...we saw that earlier, but I forgot!
...and finished up with a sad treatment of an elephant...breaks my heart to see them chained up...they are so smart...
Tomorrow we are off to Pleiku...where ever that is!  I'll be funnier tomorrow...maybe not.
