Pleiku...sounds like....

Interesting situation we have here...Vietnamese Regular Army Marine as driver...Viet Cong guide!  Our driver says the guide doesn't know he was on the other side...showed me where he'd been shot...twice!  We figured the guide was probably a Cong sympathizer...I was going to waterboard him...see what he REALLY knew...but decided he would probably kill me...hmmmm.  Anyway, there is always a two way commentary going on...the guide tells his story....then in the parking lot, the driver tells his.  It's like Vietnam in the early 60's...brother against brother!  Mr. Corona aims to keep you entertained!

So, back to our trip...out of the unpronounceable town, and on to Pleiku (Play-Koo...I'm not shitten' ya this time)...stopped off at some temple...laughing Buddah...I mean really laughing...
...he had a more conservative companion inside...
...next was a drum and barrel factory...
...then a trip to the war memorial (only Viet Cong) telephone company workers...yes, telephone company!...don't ask, how the F should I know?
...we were hungry, but Cassandra had to cruise the local market...good thing she did, because this beauty was there!
...all of one tooth, and smiling the whole time!
We had some lunch, and I got a chance to photograph our driver...whose name we still don't know.  Check out the tattoo on his forearm...
...one quick rubber plantation...
and off to Pleiku!   I'll let you know who wins the war!
