Scooterville, Vietnam

This post just won't do the scooter situation here, justice.  Saigon is like a giant anthill of scooters.  I just wrote to my buddy Luf..."We just got back to the hotel...several times the cab was passed on both sides by scooters going the other direction!  They're on the sidewalks...everywhere!"  Well, here is a typical intersection half a block from our hotel!

Enough about scooters...let me tell you about last night!  We were having a very nice dinner at the Indian restaurant right next to the hotel...all of a sudden, some guy yanks on my arm, and starts giving me a massage.  I know what you perverts are thinking...but we weren't in THAT kind of restaurant!  Anyway, the guy proceeds to do a pretty good massage on me right there at the table...well, except for the series of judo chops to the forehead...WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ABOUT!  Hey, I WASN'T drunk! (not until later)

We got up this morning and went down the alley for breakfast...the woman cooked my egg on a charcoal fire!
We decided to go to the Chinese market today...by bus!  On our way to the bus stop...SCOOTERS!
We got there on these old gals (the buses I mean)

...here is where we went...the Chinese Market
...inside, there was this...
...and this...
...and after a bunch of walking around, we had a nice soup for lunch, and these came with it...
...just outside the market, this wonderful staircase...
...so ends day 2.  Ya sick of me yet?  Oh, and there are a few of these around...
Watch where you step in Saigon!!!
