Everything you wanted to know about Koh Kood!

Like I said before, Koh Kood (sounds like Alabama) is a small, fairly beautiful island off the coast of Thailand.

They have had some big rain here in the last few months, and the damage has been extensive.  Koh Kood (sounds like Mazatlan) is made up of little villages that service resorts.  The resorts are self contained.  Buying booze from the resort is the same price as buying it from the corner store...if you knew where the store was!  I don't, plus I'm lazy, so I just drink at the resort...not that any of that nonsense has gone on today.  NOPE!  We hired a pickup truck...also known as a Songtaew (sounds like North Dakota).  Koh Kood (sounds like Nashville) doesn't have gas stations, banks, signal lights, road signs, meaningful bars, or taxis.  We pay this guy $150.00 to drive us around in his pickup, and we have to ride in the bed! Don't get me wrong, this pickup has all the creature comforts of any good troop transport...hard benches, and no liquour service...and like all the good troop transports, sucks all the exhaust and dust right back into US!!!  Made me thirsty, I'll tell ya!  So we toured Koh Kood (sounds like Regina) in a Songtaew (sounds like Albania) sucking dust, and looking for beer. F------ eh bubba!

Call me Mr. Singha!!!  (sounds JUST like Mr. Corona!)
It's an island, and more than likely, if you don't work in a resort, you fish.

We took the Songtaew (sounds like peanut butter) to the fishing village called...oh hell, why bother...it doesn't sound
anything like it's spelled!  My fav so far is Wat Pho (sounds like what fo'...heh, heh, heh...tricked ya).  You're
probably reading this and thinking "Wat Pho"?  This is supposed to be a blog with pictures, right?  OK, here's one...figure
out how they get the dogs down there?

they had 2 pigs too...but the pigs had priority, and were in a pen next to the house!  All this walking made me thirsty...guess what we did?  Eat and drink at a nice little restaurant.

Cassandra ordered fish, they made her move her chair, opened a trap door, threw in a hook and caught a fish!  Moved the chair back and 10 minutes later, voila!  Off to a water fall, a swim with our friend Christiane from Germany!  Crazy women climbed up the cliff but didn't jump off, thank gawd!!!

This sign wasn't at the waterfall, but they are all around!

Cassandra makes a donation to a temple with interesting hand rails!

...and we finished the day off with a cool one at another resort!
